Post-Bariatric Surgery
Men and Women who have lost significant weight either through bariatric surgery or diligent weight-management programs commonly are left with significant lax or redundant skin.
It is most common for such weight loss to result in excess skin about the face, neck, upper arms, back, abdomen, buttock and thighs.
Dr. Baeke only does what he does best, and in the case of the post-bariatric patient he will only consider the prospect of performing reconstructive surgery to the upper arms, breasts and abdomen. Due to the extreme amount of lax tissue often present in the bariatric patient, a series of reconstructive operations is common. As with any elective cosmetic surgery, realistic expectations are paramount.
If you are seeking one of those operations, please read about those procedures elsewhere on this website.
